I’ve seen too many people log in and wonder why their account got locked.
Missing Riot Games digital signature is the first red flag. Always check it.

Open Task Manager > Details tab > right-click the process > “Open file location.” Compare that folder path to Riot’s official install directory. If it’s buried in AppData\Local\Temp or Program Files (x86)\HMCDGAMING, that’s not a client. That’s malware wearing a skin.
Legit Riot SEA clients update weekly. Patch sizes match patch notes. Login flows stay inside Riot’s domains.

Hmcdgaming doesn’t host real LoL. It hosts modified legacy clients. They connect through unofficial proxy servers.
Those proxies run outdated, unpatched game engines. Think: zero security updates. Zero anti-exploit fixes.
You log in? You’re typing your credentials into a fake page (not) Riot’s.
A Vietnamese forum reported stolen accounts in March 2024. All traced to Hmcdgaming’s update server. A Singaporean user got malware from its auto-installer.
The client looks fine because it caches old assets locally. But matchmaking is fake. Vanguard is gone.
